Crazy bad times
It was april,I was in 8th grade and going through extreme pain because little did I know that I had a deadly infection known as osteomylitis growing inside of my knee. My grandmother brought me to south shore hospital in weymouth to find out what was wrong. They sent me home with cruches and a brace on my knee. They said i had pulled tendons, they were very wrong. Over the course of the next two weeks my pain increased,I had gotton no sleep and was extremly dehydrated. I discovered that there was a swollen lymph node on the back of my neck which indicates an infection,my docter became concered with my knee and decided to take blood. later that day my mom recieved a phone call from my docter saying that my white blood cell count was extremly high so he sent my to go get fluids taken out of my leg. That was very unsucsessful. I refused to let them try again so they sent me to get a MRI,which is like a detailed X-RAY. After that i went home and we got a phone call from the hopital almost instantly, they informed my mom that somthing was wrong and that i was already admitted to childrens hospital in boston and to get there now. We waited in the emergency room for 4hours,whem they finally took me in they decided it was best to take more fluids out of my knee but this time they gave me drugs so i couldnt really fix it. After it was again unsucessful they put me in my hospital room, and 2 hours later i was in surgery, the scaryest part was that they didnt even know what was wrong with me,untill 2 days later, for a while they feared that i had cancer. Thank god i didnt,im still here today.
